The Joint Research Unit 1287 EGFV (Ecophysiology and Functional Genomics of the Grapevine) brings together within the Institute of Vine and Wine Sciences (ISVV) at the INRAE Bordeaux-Aquitaine center, a set of multidisciplinary skills ranging from ecophysiology to molecular physiology, through biochemistry and genetics. Our scientific objective is to analyze the responses of grapevine genotypes (scions and rootstocks) to environmental constraints and to decipher the underlying molecular, physiological and (epi)genetic mechanisms, using integrative biology approaches. The applied objectives are to provide knowledge and explore practical solutions for grape growers facing major challenges such as climate change, reduction of phytosanitary inputs and vineyard decline.
